Le gouverneur de la Banque centrale des États de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (Bceao), Jean-Claude Kassi Brou a félicité le nouveau président de la République sénégalaise dont les premières tendances à l’issu du scrutin tenu dimanche 24 mars 2024 ont donné largement vainqueur.

Les résultats officiels de cette élection présidentielle ne sont pas encore proclamés. Mais tous les candidats qui étaient en lice ont félicité Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye vu les premiers résultats qui lui sont largement favorables. Le président du Conseil d’administration de la Bceao s’est inscrit dans la même lancée.

« (…) dans l’attente de l’exprimer par d’autres canaux, je voudrais saisir la présente occasion pour adresser en mon nom propre et celui de notre Banque centrale, nos chaleureuses félicitations au Président Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar FAYE, à la suite de son élection à la tête du Sénégal », a dit le gouverneur de la Bceao.

Il a ajouté : « Je formule à son endroit des vœux de réussite dans l’accomplissement de ses nouvelles charges au service du peuple sénégalais ».

Dans la même perspective, Jean-Claude Kassi Brou a « félicité les autorités et le peuple sénégalais pour la bonne tenue des élections présidentielles du 24 mars 2024 ».
